December 14, 2015 Summit West

The weather overnight was cooler and the snowpack was real dry powder.  They received 3-7" in 12 hours. We almost did not drive up because I-90 was closed  eastbound at exit 34 due to rock and trees on the road. They opened at 9:30am .  The trails are filling in and staying on the groomers were enjoyable.  Wildside lift was running and the groomers were nice. There was a group of skiers and boarders having a powder morning under the Wildside lift. We all know of the big 'rock' that was a fun jump under the lift near the summit. It was fun to watch the folks having a fun day.  It is nice to drive for 45 minutes and enjoy some skiing. More coming later this week.
