Jill and I enjoyed our first day of the season skiing at Stevens Pass. We had some free passes so it was perfect. We parked on the north side and walked across the icy bridge walkway – had forgotten about the ice. The front side lifts, except Kehr's, were operating. They opened 7th Heaven lift, but we gave that a pass. The snow quality was excellent and the groomers had sufficient coverage. There are still a few bicycle ramps visible on the mountain and there were a few crashes around them. The shallow lines off piste had coverage, but the steeper lines were hiding big, unfriendly stuff. We had a couple of hours of fun with our bodies reminding us that we're in our 70s.
