Plan for next year now! Day tickets picked up at the resort are foolishly expensive.

Don't have much to add - just wanted to post a reply so that people that haven't seen this before, can see it now. With Stevens Pass now part of Vail - getting an Epic Pass is even more important. Purchasing a day ticket is not a good option. Also because things have taken off a bit since Vail took over, it is more crowded than ever on weekends. Longer trips that allow some weekday skiing are more important than ever. It's also important to remember if you haven't been there much, that the conditions can often be exactly like at the Summit or Stevens - it can easily be storming, raining,'or foggy for a whole long weekend. It's also such a big place, that you really do have to learn your way around to get the most out of it.
