Went up Saturday afternoon - hoping by then everyone would be spent or injured. It was still a shit show of humanity. Snow was heavy but plentiful with areas off of C1 & C6 skiing well. Te lower you went he stickier it got, and I was rocking fluorocarbon wax.
Took an equally leisurely start to Sunday, but arrived in he AM. When I let the dogs out in the AM it was warm - too warm for snow up higher, Much to ski area's management they correctly reported rain at White Salmon and snow at Heather Meadows. Usually the report just reflects the most optimistic view, and without a trail cam you are left to guess. Crowds were not as robust, but still saw plenty of toboggans being taken down.
Hopefully the rain this week won't wipe out gains. Hopefully the best is yet to come. 9 days left to break even on my season's pass...
