Surprise blue skies and no wind greeted us this morning along with 3" fresh soft powder. A fateful binding issue delayed my first run an hour, and allowed me to meet the energetic mother of a Canadian Olympic skier, ski a few runs with an 81 year old female masters racer, and meet an aspiring Whistler helicopter ski tour guide before more normal gray skies and breeze arrived in the afternoon. Brian then guided me to the beat easy access powder on the mountain. It ain't whatcha know, it's who ya know!
