Big day! 15,000 vertical feet today on 1 chairlift (16 cycles on the hamster wheel). Started out rough. Was discouraged about rocks and thought about heading to the Woodland Park Zoo with daughters instead but realized there was no time left, so better ski instead. Found a nice spot in the shade of Green Valley where I could make consecutive linked turns and ski the way I want to without worry of rocks and thought that was fun. Lower parts of Green Valley chairlift (not sure names of lower runs) showed a lot more rocks and we played a lot of dodge-that-rock. I generally came out ahead expect at the end where the rocks scored a good one on my skis - not a bad ding but something that will need to get repaired.

Lift lines were not bad. 1-5min in the singles line at most. 30 minute wait to download on gondola at the end - was not expecting that.

Parking lots were a lot more full than I expected. I was nervous at first thinking that the lift lines would be fiece but a lot of people must have been riding on Discovery or just up for scenic rides on gondola.

Lunch was tortilla wraps (from home) but didn't take with me so ate a late lunch around 4pm. Have no idea what the soup was.

Big fun day on the mountain! Glad I didn't go to the zoo after all!
