Another day in the Hamster Treadmill – though it started kinda slow.  Pulled into the A lot front row of the free part (by Alpine Inn bridge) at 8am – nice. Nice small Pay lot  and it was still pretty empty when I left.  Casual time getting ready and getting into a short Gondy line at 8:45….oh FYI  - lift just went on wind hold…At least for a half hour?  No wind at the base, nothing obvious you could see…put when it finally opened around 9:30….jiminy cricket was it blowin up top…thought they might stop GV chair during some of the early morning gusts.  Slopes were very wind blown, skiable and carveable, sunny slopes (grubstake – didn’t do, didn’t have to) were icy nasty, shady slopes ended up after a little traffic being nice and fun….never went further skier right than the middle of the GV bowl…didn’t want to deal with the bottom of the chair that side.  Much fun doing Ann’s run – various lines with nice mid day sun back light (love a sun shinning from behind on a treed bump run).  A little of a pucker of a line around 11am, not as bad as many days, the singles line was short to empty and fast.  Quit kinda early – gotta party tonight (and ski tomorrow).  Saw lots of unhappy sad folks sliding on snow having a really bad time in the sun?  Ha ha!

Other – Screwed up and didn’t check what the soup was (probably nothing really good).  Pay lot as noted was not full, rest of A lot was full – but I think a lot of those folks were tourists up to see the views from the top….and the views were really really BIG!  There I finally put in a “b” word….Happy T-Day to all!

Just adding -- Snow getting firmer [well what go you expect?] Skied pile to pile in some more trafficked areas. Grubstake was only interesting for one run. Snort elk holding up OK, and kneel turners run was again run of the day. rock skis ruled. Looked for u ddk, you in stealth mode?

There was actually some sweet wind blown caches far skiers right of the ridge into snorting elk. Best part was poaching fresh lines from
Snowboarders who were smoking dope at the top.

Started stealth mode last year with a new coat....did not last long for most of the folks that suffer me...I'll keep one eye looking for you!
