4/19, Blackcomb, 1st Descents for real AvaJane was created by avajane
Fresh from instructing in Colorado, my daughter Ava Jane showed up at just the right time to hit some of the classic steeps at Blackcomb. Couloir Extreme, and Sapphire Bowl were firsts for her!
Yesterdays hard snow softened more quickly today, allowing good access to most of the Steeps in the afternoon. Great way to close the season at Blackcomb! Tomorrow everything moves on to Whistler for the rest of the spring.

The last picture shows the extremely steep Lower Sapphire Bowl and my crude inclinometer getting maxed out!

Most certainly put the last tracks of the year on it. Might snow tonight!!! Could be fresh at Whistler tomorrow!
