Our ride to Big White took a lot longer than expected because of getting stuck in Kelowna traffic. We spent the night at 5200' near the Lara Gondola. We used our 2 for 1 Warren Miller coupon and as seniors our tickets were each $25US. The resort has great coverage top to bottom for all lifts. They have some of the best coverage that we have skied all season. We followed the sun and finally stopped at 2pm. Spring skiing in the sun. Their last day is April 12, and it will close because that's what is in their brochure. Backcountry skiers will then have the whole area to themselves. Plus, the deep slots and chutes and bowls off the Cliff chair will be skiable for a long time. The area has 2550VF and 5 express chairs plus multiple triples, doubles, and a t-bar. It's a great place to ski in a powder storm because 80 percent of the slopes have tree coverage.
