Mt Bachelor. 4/6 7 & 8 was created by filbo
Spent three days skiing boot top fluff each day out in the eastern area from the Rainbow Chair. The Low East, a twenty minute hike out service road that connects back to the chair was hardly used on Mon and I was the only hiker on Tue and Wed. Great tree skiing in fresh snow each morning and day. Summit never opened, but sure looked awesome on the north face. The eastern area is not that steep but has a nice pitch to it for great powder skiing.

As a general report, Bachelor still has a lot of snow (considering). Groomers and treeish soft areas on Pine Marten have complete coverage. Although snow depth is at 50% of normal (or less), it appears to be winter coverage.

Summit coverage is plenty white-looking but not quite so dandy near the bottom or on ridges. Looked at from a distance you'll see more snow than you have all year in the WA cascades.

Is there any other ski area in the NW you can ski all the way to the parking lot?

white pass this morning.

i sure have been loving the bachelor vibe this spring. great snow conditions for this season and no lift lines on the sunrise side of the hill. tree skiing in new was fun but damaging to the bases, worth every p-tex gauging, edge grinding fun!
