This was a last minute trip that turned into a almost month long snow refugee journey. Many other refugees were encountered along the way. Luckily we had in our possession Stevens pass powder alliance passes and were lucky enough to also come across some steeeeply discounted Mountain Collective passes. Total cost of lift tickets en route was $5 for some bumps at Lost Trails. Lodging was free throughout in the courtesy of the Villa Sprinter. (Except for one night at Arches NP Campground $15 or so, but well worth it for a lonely sunset-Sunrise in a nearly vacant park). This left us with a healthy budget to indulge in as much locally produced grog and grub along the way as possible. This trip was a mix of easy style touring and area skiing with bonus hot spring along the way. I felt this was a great route with many other sidetrips available if you have more time. Hit me up if you want any specific information.

Here was my winter Refuge:
Day 1: 10.27.14 Heliotrope + 1 more pow days up there in Nov
SLC: Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons 12.31 to 1.5 6 pow days
Revelstoke/Rogers Pass: 1.7 to 1.13 5 pow days
Japan: Nagano Prefecture: 2 weeks in Jan/Feb- 10.5 more pow days
Alps: 2 weeks in Feb/Mar - 4 pow days riding in La Grave, 2 Heli bumps in Turino for another pow day, 3 days in Chamonix and 4 days in Zermatt/Cervinia
Got in 2 pow days at Stevens between Japan and La Grave after working all night. Got in another Pow day at Baker yesterday. I consider 29.5 pow days as of yesterday.
Somehow I was gone 6 weeks this winter!
So after memories of the 2004-5 season I decided to travel this time.
Now to work on paying off my credit card. ie after returning from Zermat I worked 10 days in a row.
