Per all the Experts today was probably not a Big day…but gotta say for a Hamster in a treadmill (and a lot of other random folks in my treadmill) it was a mighty fine day. Just enough filtered sun early (and even more sun mid day), lots of radiation baking the slopes to make life very happy in the bump zone – everywhere in the Valley. Early morning after the massive lift line for the Bucket – 4 or 5 buckets? was very nice on the fairly nice grooming…and getting soft very nicely fast – up hill winds kept the top of GV happy firm, but everything else just kept getting nicer. Snorting Elk side (not groomed but soft enough in the early sun), main bowl,Grubstake area and West Face trees all happy times. One of the best lines with the sun from behind was Anns run! (where is that?). The thing I like about being stuck in the Valley is I get to ski lines that don’t get to when Chair 6 is running. Especially a fav line down low on the SnortElk side – narrow, steep enough for and old guy, soft snow, things to dodge around, bumps!....No real lift lines (did have to ride with lots of folks – many of them friends – HUH?). Skied massive hamster vert and runs.

Other – Soup, who knows? Lift opps last day of work at Crystal this season? Those that are left where pretty happy fun bunch and provided many nice runs to me during their breaks. Sounds like lots of days closed during the week. Views of the REX and FQex areas from the Gondy showed major snow melt since last Sunday (even since Tuesday). Sounds like the season will not make it much past the official April close (unless a miracle happens). Been a great spring season for the last few months. The Hamster has been happy. Happy 13th.
