A perfect spring ski Monday at Crystal. Sunny with huge views of Adams and Rainer, but yet it wasn’t so warm as to cook the snow to sloppy soup. Creamy snow just right for lots of choices of turn radii. No lift line to speak of in Green Valley which was the only lift working besides the gondola. We just kept switching from Snorting Elk to the valley and back, until closing time at 2:30 when a bunch of us were allowed to run out to the bottom via Lucky/Tinkerbell/Quicksilver (downwalking the lowest part of Quick as that is now dirt.).
Only things missing were bikinis and more Hawaiian shirts.
Get up there this week if you can. Rumor has it they might go to only weekends after this Sat/Sun depending on what the predicted rain does to the snowpack on Wed & Sat.
