Gotta start out with an apology!...I had a BIG day, big sun, big warm day at the beach, big fun standing on top of the King…big fun run down Hourglass, and to many big fun runs in PB for my old brain to remember. Socialized with lots of happy folks. Never went into the Valley, lots of racers there again today, heard the lift lines were not to bad, but no lines on REX, FQex and HC kept me in that Hamster world…especially since today almost felt like the last day of the season. Who knows what next weekend after this week will bring. Rocks getting bigger, the skiable slots getting narrower, getting into PB with out walking getting more entertaining, JD’s slot in PB on top getting more fun dodging the rocks (between 2 and 3 flamethrowers)….But gotta say finally getting out of my limited Hamster cage and standing on top of the King was primo…Thanks Eric!
Other – Soup at CB lodge was the moldy green Corn soup again today…not a lot of folks eating when I passed through, beer selection was running out. Crowd pretty light today, less than yesterday. Most folks using Gandy’s today – good with nice bumps building up and not many rocks. Pay lot kinda small, bus lot empty, couple of rows in B lot and maybe quarter full in C lot. Thought about downloading…but skied/walked out again today…unless some miracle happens it might have been even my last time. Nice day from first chair to last (that don’t happen very often for me). Gotta say I think sleeping in tomorrow will be very nice change of pace….maybe even a bike ride in the warm sun.
Other other - CD!...I have a new pack stash…After the King run…got back to the pack and “someone” or rather something? had a great time…all my warm weather stuff was spread around…including my Oakley’s…happily still there for the rest of the afternoon ski…couldn’t have been those dang pesky Ravens…? Got lucky maybe I have some Karma cued up.
