Pretty nice day, more high overcast early, but big blue most of the day, warm but not to warm, a little bit of breeze keeping things nice cool. Pretty much a private ski area again today…arrived at 8:45…bucket already uploading…quick change and into a slow slow very slow bucket ride…if I’d known I would have ridden CHex…but the couple of employees I was riding with were very entertaining – so no real loss on the very very slow ride. Perfect groomers all over the mountain again and they lasted pretty much all day (except for the bottom steep pitch on Lucky that turned into nice big deep manky mucky mushy stuff). Lots of nice bumpy soft smooth lines to be found. Very nice steep screamer drops in SnortElk Bowl and Little Portillo. Only did JD line in PB today ( many times, skier left side in the sun by the left most blow torch…didn’t get much use this season), pretty nice soft butter fun into nice carve able skier groomed fun. Saw lots of folks having fun and bumped into the John and Dean party which kept me on the mountain till closing time (kinda early with the current Crystal hours), pretty late for me.

Other – Soup at CB lodge was that Green thing again…not many folks in there when I passed through. Pay lot was almost small enough. A few buses in a way to big space for them. Got into the back of the front row of the free lot – cause no one noticed the slot. A lot was not full when I left. Skied to the base twice today (once early – don’t ask why), there was one reasonable path to the base….and the pile of new snow at the base is getting pretty deep from the snow guns – nice quality all in all snow. As is usual it was a very nice day in the sun, the blue groomer crowd should be going. CHex was running early for the upload and heard rumors it would be running late for the down load. Lots of Elk this morning at the Fire station in Greenwater. Nice fast empty driving the rest of the time.
