Another day, nice and different from yesterday…it was definitely a lot of B words today – it was ?ig views, ?ig quality snow, ?ig kinda crowd, ?ig kinda nice grooming, ?ig kinda g?rea?t day…but other than the rumors of ?ig kinda GV lift lines I luckily did not have to suffer that problem – other than first thing this morning standing way to long for the first bucket ride…watching buckets and buckets of racers uploading at 8:30 ( Crystal was nice and started uploading all the “old” folks at 8:45). It was a pretty ?ig crowd early. Spent most of the day cycling PB…cant actually remember how many times, but it was a bunch…there were times riding REX where it looked like more ants in PB than on Lucky. PB had some very nice packed powder. Rocks on top, but not that hard to get around. Lots of folks heading out south, some ugly lines on the King…heard good things and bad things…protected down low angle areas very sweet, high up wind impacted not so pleasant (but at least open). Free Ride Jr’s were running the Throne again today – great vis but lots of time waiting to see somebody do there run (while I was riding up HC). Lots of CMAC and other racing in the Valley again today (why I did not go into the Valley except for when I made tactical errors).
Other – Soup at CB lodge was the Triple C (lots of folks say they like it). Pay lot was massive this morning (and actually made a valiant effort to fill up – but not all the way), C lot was at least ¾ full, B lot was very widely spaced rows that filled up way to much of the lot, cars in D lot (!!!) and even some random folks in E. GREAT day (sorry it was), BIG day (yes it was based on the year), FUN day (as noted by my random discussions with folks that had to suffer me). Awesome happy day – YES! I was sliding on snow. Last day FEB...not a perfect month but still fun.
