Whistler 2/16 - Ultra Hardpack was created by BB
High clouds kept things from softening up on all aspects. I can't remember being worried on a blue run in decades but that changed today. With the flat light, good grooming was the only saving grace. Greens became blues, blues became blacks and blacks were "forget it". I can't imagine any new snow sticking to this surface so the only hope is for some spring warming to make the mountain skiable again. Best run of the day was the Dave Murray Downhill to Creekside base where I am staying. Download line from the Roundhouse to Whistler Village was BIG. Other than that no lines anywhere.

Last time I was there the Creekside ski out was good but melting and too warm to make snow. Have they been able to make snow below mid station again? Thanks for the report.

Yes, It was getting to -1/-2 at the base overnight. They were making snow at 3:30pm as I was skiing out. It skied really well on DM Downhill to the top of the Gondola. From there it was just the Pony Trail to the bottom that was sugery/slushy stuff. On Tuesday with my brother in law and nephew we took the Pony Trail down to the top of the Gondola and it was not as fun.
