Check check? Life is good and the rest of the very long wordy report - Another day in the sunny hamster treadmill of heaven – lots of sun, lots of views from Baker to Hood and the Olympics, lots of nobody on the slopes, lots of empty lift lines and empty chairs, lots of the same old perfect grooming, lots of no east winds, lots of rocks popping out at the bottom of REX (happily a light crowd, if it had been like the last couple of days crowd wise, things would have been nasty down there), lots of nice warm light winds – allowed the few sunny bump runs available to get very nice ( Windy/Powder pass area, Grubstake bumps chair line and main GV bowl area. Nice not so soft icy nasty smooth sun backlit Ann’s run, dodging the trees and dropping the big really nasty bumps (someone commented when I was leaving about if I really liked them as much as he thought I seemed to – yes!). Great day, probably the best of the last three since it had the best part of each of the last three.
Other – Arrived a little later today, but planned on sitting in the lodge doing my easy Tuesday Sudoku eating a expensive breakfast sandwich – didn’t happen. Base locked up tight, only brownbag area open. Heard some vandals worked a little again last night. Might be more cam’s and security systems to control the jerks (seems like at least the second time nasty’s have happened – double jerks). Pulled into the front of the free part of the A lot shortly after 8am. Pay lot was relatively nice sized, if it had been a normal winter…and as usual it was pretty empty when I left. Rest of A lot did not fill up…there were not even any employees parked in the B lot? hhhhmmmm?
Other other – walked into the only real food place on top as I was leaving – sadly did not check the soup condition…but the nasty was a big long wait to get any food since they did not have enough employees working to service all the empty tables (including the outside seating that was closed off and reserved for the folks that could not get a table!) Ouch!
Other other other – Great three days with almost a 100k of hamster high speed skiing and just enough soft bumps to make life great – BIG? I think it was fun and BIG! Pretty typical.
