It was a surprisingly fun few hours at the resort. The conditions dictated a late start and an early finish. The pushed-around leftovers from grooming machines gave us some coverage for high-speed laps, and the sun softened the surface without being powerful enough to create any slush. Most steeper slopes were brushy, pointy moguls with small cilffs appearing.
No crowds, duh.
Since the snow wsn't a draw for night skiing or for a long day, we hiked the Heyburn Lookout Trail at sundown Sunday. I had cagily packed climbing shoes, so we stopped for a short boudering session at the graffiti-ed ledges of Eagle Falls west of Baring.
