Check check? Lordy a win right off the first try - Anyway the "big" report. Wasn’t a very “B”day, other than a “B” amount of ski racers filling the middle of GV and the GV chair. Also a very “B” view from Oregon to Canada! Lots of sun, though not to hot, any shady areas stayed firm or got firm again. Lots of great firm grooming early. Lots of folks skiing the limited options – which were pretty fun and “B” most of the day. GV lift line was a mess of European standards – but not really that “B”ig – just typically Crystal disorganized and since I was not always solo it required not being to “B”ig in the weasel department. Skiing was fun, spent most of the day skiing the limited options off of Lucky. Last available slot to the bottom of REX was a mine field of rocks – pretty funny watching the beginners skiing the rock garden. (? Beginners???? What the heck are they doing on the slopes) Valley has great coverage and will be great for a long time still. REX Lucky run was again a work of art by the grooming folks, but was getting beat up pretty hard by the time I quit. The “B”ig impact was the massive racer crowd – must make Crystal happy that someone is still it willing to ski and spend money.
Other – Pulled into the A lot 3 rows back of the Pay lot at 8am ( when I left I realized that the spacing between the rows was Pay lot sized “B”ig). Had to down load the Bucket and it was full – but entertaining. CHex was supposed to be downloading at 2:30, but I had chores and had already way passed the minimum trademarked CD mark. Tomorrow probably will be the last fling for REX based on the forecasts and the Crystal reports. Most of the racers will be gone (heading to Bachelor). Noticed that the soup at the base (closed when I left) was the Triple C. Drive up and down was empty and fast. Pay lot made an effort today, rest of A full, couple of rows in B and C might have been half full. So I tried not to have to many B’igs in this report…but it was a fun day on the slopes, based on forecasts and conditions might be time to head back north after the Prez week. Did I get enough "B"igs in?
