Recap: Tuesday Blackcomb - 4" of cut up fluff over a firm icy base. Limited run options even in the Alpine as rocks and shrubs clogged most of the off-piste steeps. But it quickly warmed as we settled in to the Crystal Chair area (Arthur's Choice) finding the best snow and terrain in the "Temporary Boundary - No Patrol" runs as they were less trafficked. Following the Marginal Snow signs down through Bark Sandwich - Gear Jammer - Marm's was a slush bump hoot.

Wednesday was cooler and tuesday's slush stayed firm. Harmony Bowl @ Whistler was 6-8" of packed powder over icy bumps, good and bad. Mistakenly took a run to Creekside base over horrible ice. Back to Blackcomb's Arthur's Choice for more huge-bumps-in-the-trees fun.

Thursday woke to new snow - 5" in the Village, 12-16" in the Alpine. Glacier/Crystal and upper lifts closed due to wind. Skied the powder on Jersey groomers till it was gone. Then, boot-top to shin deep on Bark Sandwich-Learning Zone-Gear Jammer cycling Solar Coaster till it suddenly turned to potatoes at 11:30. Awesome morning, some of the best snow of my year. After a great lunch, the run to the base in the rain was extreme wetness.

Friday - Rained hard base to the Alpine all night and was a day worth avoiding. Rained hard all day. Shopping and lunch in the village was great. Only Wizard, Excalibur Gondy, and Excellerator open at Blackcomb mid-day. Never see so much water roaring down the river through the village.

Hoping for cooling overnight and some new in the morning.
