We spent the night in the van in their RV parking lot. We received our free Powder Alliance tickets without a problem. The Powder Alliance provides 3 free tickets at each member ski area during the season. The lifts started loading at 8:30am and we were moving on time. They have a 6 pack and 3 quads that were open today. We usually ride with locals who are also retired. The temperature was in the low 20s with no wind and a bit of sunshine. The coverage was excellent. Most folks were riding the groomers. With 2500vt and high speed lifts, you have a fast paced morning. The Powder Gulch lift provides terrain that can burn your thighs. The coverage looked good on the expert runs. We normally ski here in December before Christmas and/or at the end of March with the 2 for 1 tickets from the Warren Miller movie. We have had some great powder days and have enjoyed chatting with the locals. After 3 hours our thighs said “go to the van”. Most of the other retired folks (locals) were also leaving. When you reach your late 60s and 70s your body let's you know when it's time to go. It was another great day of packed powder. We're going to Revelstoke with a nice storm forecast for tonight and Thursday...
