Check check? Lordy first try - Another day in the sun. Another morning on high speed perfect grooming. Arrived a little earlier and was parked a few rows further back – still managed to get ready and jump onto the first CHex chair. A bigger crowd around today, lots of kids, more rocks popping out in the high traffic areas. MiddleIceFerkberg is still nice – Plunge side and getting through the slot at the bottom will not last much longer. Valley big groomed and nice early – but some slopes got skied down to the ice layer. Big soft spring fun at the top of GV chair either side the main groomed slot. Spent the morning chasing a Fireman – don’t know if we ever found the fire, but the skiing was fast. Did the trip up FQex for the soup report, more later. Another fun day, less bumps but a lot of turns. Ski out at the base via Tinker Bell and Quicksilver was pretty okay, getting thin in spots, but still easier than anything else.
Other – The big Trifecta again today at the CB lodge – Chicken Noodle soup, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and a very nice White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookie! All good. Kid crowd in CB lodge was the biggest I’ve seen in a while – the Crystal accountants should feel good. Pay lot had lots of bus space – and it was pretty full when I left. Rest of A did not get full. Nice day, nice drive, nice ski.
