Two and a half weeks without skiing will make one do strange things, like skiing today and actually enjoying it – sort of. The expected and materializing big early crowd prompted us to stand in line at Chinook for half an hour in the rain, then over to the operating FQ for some cruisers and a few pokes off the groomed with mixed results. Mostly snowing there but pretty wet stuff. BIG, BIG lines for FQ. Rex started up about 11 so we tried Memorial that was pretty sticky but I was able to grind out the occasional good turn. GV had some ok stuff as long as you kept expectations low. Mostly rain by now but it lightened up and we saw a bright spot in the clouds a couple of times. We lasted until 1:30 and Tinkerbelled out. The lower slopes were pretty thin and sloppy.
