Check? Why did this try just work?....Anyway...Another Big Fun Day….OH A BIG FUNDAY! Not as warm and soft on the southern slopes as hoped for, but still good enough to have BIG FUN! Spent the early morning being very nice to #1 – finally can report that FQex groomer runs are also very sweet fast and smooth – and with nobody around the slopes where wide open and fun. Did a late morning cycle in the Valley and Lucky – all still great carving fast smooth (Lower Lucky is starting to show its age). Did MiddleIceFerkberg just before the lunch run, starting to get soft, but the southeast wind blowing over the top of the front side of REX kept the top few turns “nice” and firm. Lower down in the sun was nice and soft and happy. Did PB right after the lunch break – takes effort getting off the top, but once in, it skied pretty nice and carvealbe….could have done a repeat lap – but no takers in my small world. Skied the early afternoon till I quit on the Frontside of REX from Sunnyside to Sunnyside and lower chair line. Lots of Valley Bowl and MiddleIceFerkBerg runs again today. More rocks in FerkBerg, but just added a little challenge to the skiing – checked my skis when I got home, the AfterShocks had three big days and the little dings on the bases are pretty faint.

Other – Soup today was Tomato something or other, had some left over lunch from #1. No lift lines again today as usual. Groomers where big and perfect and the FQex type folks should come up and make some turns. Pay lot was still to big today, actually had four or five buses….cant remember how far folks parked down hill today? 100+k over the last three days makes my lazy body happy, based on weather forecasts, guess I’ll get to be responsible for a day or two and do some chores…

Crystal is doing a great job of grooming with the very thin snow coverage. That benefitted us this morning as the mountain stayed on the cool side even with the sun out. The few morning treks off piste were brutal. So, fast groomers early in the day, then fast rocky groomers from mid-morning until noon. Just when they were getting skied out and lots of rocks were popping up, the front side of REX finally softened. From noon until quitting, we cycled the front side dodging bare patches with chair line skiing the best.
