Jackson Hole received 1” overnight, and it made the groomers – the groomers. The fog lifted and you could see the mountain top to bottom. We each had another free ticket from our Mountain Collective passes. It was nice to ski without any lift lines or anyone flying by you. We are getting used to (and spoiled by) powder and packed powder.
As we started down from the Bridger Gondola a Mountain Host with a flag was warning that there were skiers climbing up the trail. We later found out that they were in Stage 3 of the Wyoming Rando Roundup Race. They climbed to the top of the ridge above Corbet’s Couloir and then descended another narrow, steep, steep, steep chute; then climbed up to the Gondola; then descended, climbed more narrow lines and eventually skied to the base. This was an incredible event. The winner did it in 2:27:51. We were tired just watching the skiers.

Plus, we were just plain tired after skiing 8 of the past 9 days. We are taking the day off tomorrow. BUT, I started searching about and found that a new storm is coming to UT. Now it’s drive time…

When do we see a shot of Zap skiing with one of those Billy Kidd autograph 10 gallon hats? Real Rocky Mtn gear! Come on Jill, get your camera ready...
