Great day at Crystal. Started up at Green Valley, did 4 runs and then bailed because moguls were too icy for my ability. Went to Forest Queen and skied, best snow on the mountain. Skied for an hour, ate lunch, then went back to Green Valley and did bump runs all afternoon.
Don't get me wrong - Crystal is in serious need of more snow. They are on the verge (in my opinion) of shutting down Lucky Shot and the lower part of the mountain. These runs are too rocky for them to even be open (in my opinion). With that said, I still had a great day up there and found enough snow to have fun on.
Other - parked in A lot, three rows behind pay lot (how much does it cost to buy a parking permit?). Ate lunch from home in Campbell Basin Lodge, nobody yelled at me today, that was a nice bonus. Lodge mostly empty.

There is a list that you need to sign up on -- with at least 175 names in front of you. The going price this year (for what it is worth) is $500.
Expect that price to shoot up next season (along with lift tiks, season passes) as the resort gears up to build a "new base" and a "new hotel". Those plans will likely be postponed due to the carnage that currently adorns the slopes. I'm looking to fix the bindings on my rock-rock skis (although I did bring out the Rossi S7s for 2 true powder days this season.
