Big Ugly Nasty Day – for the first run I skiddered across GV Bowl. Expected big soft slushy based on Telemetry? Pretty firm top to bottom….Coombas with there rounded edges were not so happy on that first run…but every run after was better – as usual. Saw a very impressive Tele Guy skiing GV Bowl – paused to complement him…Oh myikat – we had a great day! Did the GV treadmill most of the morning, lots of Grubstake and Grubstake trees (always one more one more). Finally went down part of M-World and lower Sunnyside around 11:30 – Valley was still better at that point. Checked the soup and had a break at CB lodge looking at the King, weather kept getting brighter and warmer…myikat talked me into doing a few laps (3) on HC – pretty nice and smooth and soft. (had to step over about 2 feet of rocks on top, but from then on – ouch nice). All the folks at top kept telling us to do PB and it was pretty nice also, patrol did a lot of work up top and its easier to get into PB – skiers right. Then main line bottom 2/3rds was smooth and fast. Back to REX to finish the day – front side chair line top, Breakover, Sunnyside got a lot of repeats from me. Finished the day with a run down IceFerkberg – pretty nice and soft in the sun – almost looked like the middle area had been groomed – but I was kinda fuzzy on the left shoulder in the bumps – skied great all in all. Other – Soup at CB lodge was Tortilla something or other. Pay lot was over big and typically empty. Rest of A lot looked like it got full when I left. Coombas got a quicky tune at the base – they have really nice edges again. Should be awesome tomorrow if its at least as good as today. Crystal did get impacted, but up high got a little new and the whole mountain did not really get that badly impacted.
