We spent the evening in our campervan in Anaconda with deer wandering around our van.  It was a cold night with light snowing.  It has been 10 years since our last visit here, and the terrain has been expanded.  We parked about 20 feet from the Anaconda lift.  The senior pass is $32. There are 6 lifts and the lowest lift is at 5770’ with the high point at 8150’. There was 5” of powder overnight.  The ski patrol began opening the backside with the Granite and Limelight lift areas, and all the runs were open including the expert terrain.  The Limelight chair serves a giant expert area that is steep and treed.  The Granite chair has one groomed trail and many other runs in steep terrain.  The Silver Chief chair has intermediate terrain with great trees.  This is a wonderful ski area with powder and cold conditions.

A major snow storm arrives on Sunday night for the next 2 days with 10-20” of snow expected, cold temperatures, and “breezy” conditions.
