Great day, perfect packed pow on the shady slopes, perfect spring mush on the sunny slopes, way to warm temps, crowd light early, groomers fast and smooth, nothing bad – till the power went out around 12:30?....slow recovery to diesel (somewhat cause of newbie lift opps). Things slowed down, but the skiing was still great. Nothing like a run that includes packed powder and spring slush! Rocks really popping out in places – top of HC, spots in Lucky and other high traffic steeper slopes. Some effort placing big ice blocks at the top of Chair 6, plus snow movement – hopefully it will help, hopefully we get something out of this weekend precip. Ended the day on E – it was sun baked top to bottom….will not be nice tomorrow.
Other – The really really big news! Chicken Noodle at CB lodge – it was great for my poor sick body. Pay lot almost full, B C D and E all looked packed, people partying in F lot. A lot of tourist no the Gondy – had two lines at the base. Great day in the sun, will not be pleasant with colder temps and more clouds.
