Went skiing at Crystal today. Arrived early, parked in "A" lot.

Snow was nice in the morning. Stuck to the groomers due to low snow cover. Green Valley and Lucky Shot skied well.

Around noon, snow cover on the groomed runs got to be a bit thin. Hit rocks on Lucky Shot and saw groundcover poking through on Green Valley. Bailed at that point.

Getting off the mountain was difficult. I tried Kelly's Gap, but that was a mistake and it shouldn't have even been open. Ended up taking my skis off and walking down the last part of Kelly's Gap since I'm not a member of the 1" club.

Lots of people on the slopes. Lines weren't bad, but had to dodge a lot of people as I skied down the slopes. Think that people were concentrated on the groomers due to the thin snow cover which made it more crowded than it rightfully should have been.

We really need another foot or two of snow before the skiing gets good.
