Great day for the Grasshopper/Hamster skier….no crowds, no lift lines, didn’t find my “friends”, got to ski the hamster treadmill all day – PB to IceFerkBerk! All happy for me, lots of rocks on top of HC, but just a little side stepping and then perfect packed pow. Same snow in GV Bowl – but no side stepping required. Front side of REX was getting pretty nicely sun baked – will be ugly first thing tomorrow, same for IceFerkBerg (nice soft spring bumps – I like bumps). Did a Door and many SunnySide runs – same soft perfect spring snow (sorry). Groomers early were perfect.
Other – Soup at CB lodge was Tomato something (promised me Chicken Noodle tomorrow, if it happens it will be heaven). Perfect vis from Canada to Oregon, did I mention no lift lines? Pay lot made an effort, I got lucky arriving at 8:25 and still got into the A lot, C lot full, B lot ¾ full, D and E looked full. So there where folks on the mountain. Makes the foodie folks happy. Happy New Big Year! Skiing down hill is great, but hopefully more new will happen this weekend…..Rest of the report should come from TB/BB Tall Bob/Big Bob). I’m lookin forward to hearing about the rest of the mountain.
