Another very nice spring powder day early, very many new inches in many very nice places, smoothed out a lot of the upper mountain again, nice and cold quality early in GV ( REX not running, so don’t take a chance on it – but they got it going and it ran nice and steady “slow” all morning). Lots of fun smooth fast lines in the Doors mid morning since vis was kinda in an out….heading somewhere, see a big sun patch in an untracked slot, drop in and have fun. Since I spent to much time in the Doors early, missed out on some nice fun untracked lines in SunnySide and Memorial – dang who were those folks skiing my fav lines – oh well sloppy seconds still pretty good. Only negative today was nice vis and sun on top and a cold snow storm most of the time on the lower part of REX – started getting nice and soft and mucky but then it started getting a little firm. Coombas still liked it and I thanked them again today for a lot of easy fast fun spring powder early and spring mucky runs later. Crowd was lighter than Saturday, only rode with folks randomly on the lifts. Ultra short day since the lower mountain ice pellet none stop snow storm got my #1 pair of spring gloves wet – dang! If it had been just a little sunnier top to bottom…oh well plenty of things to do at home. Saw Dino again today and a few more of his crowd – but didn’t see J&JW again today….how long does it take to mow the grass? Pressure wash the concrete, dig in the dirt, kill the moss?
Other – No Soup at Crystal again today, limited expensive menu at the top, nothing at the base other than microwave foods in the rental shop….Oh maybe Alpine Inn also. Pay lot gone and A lot full with some overflow towards C…only employees in B. Nice morning, nice running REX again today…hopefully Crystal will be nice and run it again next weekend. Off to Blackcomb for the big sun fest this week…cant wait!
