Another great weekend on our awesome base. Saturday we took a risk and it paid off. The TV news made is sound like a wet day but we figured it was worth a chance. Beautiful clouds threatened rain all morning but when the precip arrived mid-day so did the cold temps. Precip changed from graupel to flakes before we left mid afternoon.
Sunday morning we found a light blanket of soft new snow. Good to hear cold squeaking under foot. They ran the cat on Palmer instead of the lift. We hiked out west for one run and found lots of wind scour mixed with some soft patches. The coverage is awesome and more new snow is falling this week.
