The weather forecast was not great on Friday for today, but as Silas says ‘sometimes you don’t know until you go’.  We arrived at 8:00 and parked in the ‘D’ lot so that we could get a ride on the shuttle. We hate to walk in the parking area.  We were on the second chair and it was sunny.  We enjoyed the lower trails that had warmed from the sun, and then went up REX in a light snow flurry.  Then the sun returned followed by a hail shower.  It was a great morning of skiing, but black clouds were heading our way.  We left around 11:30 and by the time we hit Greenwater the rain had arrived.  We missed the afternoon bikini event, but really didn’t want to ski in the rain (violates rule #1).

Great report Zap....Just realized my report got lost in the net...So - Thought I posted a report earlier today….just looked and not there… Anyway, big question this morning about going with the big winds, but they were no impact on REX, nice early morning sun sucker hole that kept leaving and coming back, almost enough to warm the front side, got two SunnySide runs in. Checked the soup at CB lodge very late morning, trying to take advantage of the sun as long as it was out, a couple of early cold snow showers and it was dumping when it pushed me off the mountain around 1 – paying to much attention to the forecast rain. It was nice and sunny when I finally left around 2. Sunny groomers were nice, the wind slowed the melt, but down low things got very soft and nice.

Other – CB lodge soup Ched Broc, not a lot of other food anymore, but still got a Mac Nut White Choc cookie and a Fat Tire. Pay lot overly big and typically empty, some over flow filling a lot of C and part of B. No real lift lines. Fun day as usual.
