april 19 ALPENTAL LONG BOARD DAY

just another huge success and a pretty fun ski day. i may invite silas next year to get a taste.

Huge success, indeed. Resort was open wall-to-wall within an hour of first chair and the sun beamed through the clouds until after noon. After a few laps beneath the padded seats waiting for the impending soften, I worked Sharon's Bowl from Mach's --> Brownie until the deluge hit at 13:00. Finished the day with a lap directly down the upper chair line and earned a bonus top-to-bottom by beating a box of leftover chorizo to the bottom of two by a three chair margin. Snow went from thick, semi-breakable crust to corn then mush and back again throughout the day. Snowing hard from Davey Jones up when the final whistle blew. Tacos at the bottom, sausage up top. Soup of the day was 15.5 gal. of Fremont Brewing's Bonfire Ale.
