Pretty ugly tough day – at least mentally – at least based on early info, some quantity of new snow, very cold temps for mid April – 17 degrees? Ouch? If you look at the telemetry, continually rising temps and decreasing winds – but sometime during the 11:30 to 12:30 time frame something passed through that was cold windy and dropping a few flacks – ugh, but it was short lived and warmth and nice conditions returned. Early few runs – Lucky nice, MiddleIceFerkBerg not so pleasant – only did it once today, might have been nice later in the day with more heat, but sorry I don’t know. Running solo till early afternoon in the hamster treadmill allowed for many fun untracked soft warm multi new inches of ski lines – especially since not many hard cores were around (any? cant remember seeing any). Late morning I was skiing M-world and SunnySide – sweet and soft and go anywhere untracked in the early morning sun. After a quick check on the soup at CB lodge late morning – no Chick Noodle, dang, back to the REX treadmill. Lucky for me a long haired big muscle tattooed lift opp finally got out of bed and was nice enough to let me drag him around a lot of Doors across the front side of REX to Memorial – it was a great run of lines Shawn, many thanks for a lot of fun fast lines. Finally bailed early with a Kellys Gap run – all pretty nice (wanted to do Upper E, wimpy no hike option, but….), Lower E was as noted in other reports big bumps and lots of untracked lines at 2:30. Great day, kinda cold at times, some clouds blowing through, but pretty much great vis, nice cold spring conditions – actually pretty awesome great spring conditions!
Other – Soup was the Triple C with some left over Harvest mush. No lift lines, no other riders on REX till Shawn showed up! Fun day! The A lot was pretty full, cant remember much else about the rest of the lots – sorry! Skiing was great, glad I went, pretty sweet for the last lift served Friday – It was a very Good Friday – praise the Lord!
