Arrived close to noon, and found soft, enjoyable turns nearly everywhere. Didn't go into E Bowl, but checked out The Fan, Upper I, Snake Dance, and Elevator. Was nearly deaf after two scrapes down Upper I, but pretty soft everywhere else. Very decent coverage, but moats around rocks and cliff bands are getting big.
The smell of sunscreen and grilled meat in lot 4. Plenty of t shirts. Went solo but bumped into friends on the mountain and in the parking lot. Very nice day.

Good to hear it shaped up nicely. We went sunwards due to it looking foggy at opening...
Headed up to the Summit at Snoqualmie first thing this AM and decided to skip Alpental due to it looking socked in, instead heading over to the Silver Fir where it was bright and sunny. They opened right on time at 0900 so we got to enjoy a couple of untrammeled firsties down Outback. Snow was soft and easy turning in the sunlit parts, a bit firm and scrappy-sounding in the shade. After the first hour, the heat was getting to us so we stripped off jackets and I switched to a Hawaii shirt to bring some color to the slopes. Spotted a tiger-gal who was also sporting something wild. Headed down Wildcat and Inspiration, then over to Central Express & Triple 60 where we cut runs down a creamy Parachute as a break after slipping diagonally thru the trees across Freefall/Nosedive/Revenge since the coverage is still really good. A quick trip up Holiday just so’s we could say we rode all the lifts then we headed back to SF and the car as were done just as the snow started to get sticky down low as of 1200. TomK and Chad.
