First version of today X-tal report....Nice day all in all – what would you expect from me? Gotta say things started brutally (????) firm on the nice groomers – so brutal that you could not tell anyone had skied over the perfect corduroy – skied the same line more than once and it always looked pretty perfect groomed! Off piste was pretty much impossible for way to long. Things did soften, by 10am MiddleIceFerkBerg and Lucky groomers were skiing nicely – which led to high speed big vert morning. Did a late morning CB Lodge run for the Chick Nood – very good (only 11 more days to get any – hopefully at least). After early lunch everything was going off – at least for me. GV Bowl – skier left side was getting nice and soft enough, MiddleIceFerkBerg was pretty primo fast soft and smooth (with bumps getting bigger as the afternoon progressed). Front side of REX was nice mucky soft deep mush from Door 1 to Memorial – a number of REX chair line runs were very fun. Since the season is over the crowds were so light that lots of runs held up all day. Did a couple of runs mid day to the base – LowerFerkBull was very nice, a couple runs down the Gap to Lower E were worth the effort. Fun day, pretty cool early, lots of east winds kept me cool enough while skiing, but the rides up REX were pretty toasty.
Other – As noted another Chick Noodle soup day (still good plus the beer and bread and Macadamia Nut White Chock cookie!!) Parking lot A seemed kinda full when we left, overflow anywhere else? Didn’t notice. Big fun day, lots of big fun days in the forecast.

Don't mean to rub it in but Blackcomb is sporting cold smoke dust on the T-bars in the early morning, with high speed carving snow top to bottom through the day. As you all know the best thing about Whistler this time of year is you can ski cold styro snow, creamy snow, snow cone granular OR crispy groomers, shaved off groomers, boilerplate, refrozen inconsistent groomers, glop, slop, piled sugar, ballbearing chunked shi-, wind/sun slabbed breakable crust, mud, manky, double ejection sticky snow.
But you can't beat the patio beer views and ski to the condo convenience or the area.
