We met some old friends on the 7th who now live in Bend, OR. It was fun to meet and catch up with people we used to teach and travel with in the back-country and who led daily and weekly trips. Our ages range from the late 60's to the 80 's, but we're all still having fun.  Most of us stopped skiing tele and switched to rando.

Bachelor was a fun day that started at 9am and finished for us at 2pm. The summit lift was crowded and the groomers got moguled quickly.  The best slopes were off the Northwest side of the mountain. It was quiet on this side.  We had lunch at the Pine Martin Lodge, and the taco salad fed 2 people. It was huge! By 2pm we skied down and it was a slush-cup – we should have eaten at the base.  It was a great day, and now it's time to head south.

Sounds like a good spring trip, Zap. Anything you can post about snowpack in S. Oregon, esp. on Theilson, Pelican Butte, or Shasta would be great since I'm hoping to get down there in late late spring.
