1000' snow level drop today vs yesterday made nice mid-calf powder in low visibility today. On3p came up with demo skis after serving Stevens yesterday. Well behaved international country club crowd. Raven's Nest lodge crowd made for busy beacon search practice.
Hemispheres opened around noon.

Yesterday was hands down one of the best days I've had all season, if not the best - it was one of those days where everything magically worked out. We headed up early as we knew the snow would be bountiful and were fully geared up and ready to go before 8:30. Due to the timing we decided to hike in to wait and that waiting paid off. As soon as they gave us the go it was a mad dash to get up the hill, strap in and take off so we could rush the crowds to 6. Even more magically most of the crowds headed to 5 and we ended up being chair #2 on 6.
The first run down 6 was probably one of the best runs all year. No stopping, no tracks and legs burning when we hit the bottom. To make the day even better we continued to lap only to never be greeted with anything that you could call a lift line all day.
I firmly believe the only thing that would have made yesterday better would be a showing by the sun (as well as maybe the temps not warming as much as they did around 1pm).
Although we headed-up to Baker for the weekend for Splitfest, we ended up riding the lifts instead. I can truly say this weekend did not disappoint.
