Les Arcs has to be one of the best spring skiing areas in the world. I can only imagine it on a powder as we had only brilliant sunshine until we went to Chamonix. Below shows the center of the alpine area in all it's vastness. Whistler/Blackcomb gives you some sense of scale - but not really! The alpine is from about 6,000 - 10,000. The bottom of the lifts in the forest below are about 3,000.
The lift next pictured is called "The Col" and has huge possibilities.
Third photo shows the typical Beach Party that goes on at all of the on mountain restaurants.

The steeps off the top tram at Les Arcs. This lovely run starts off a black trail and plunges nearly 3,000 feet of steeps and bumps to village 2000

Mount Blanc from the south showing the Bonatti Pillar, along with typical afternoon bump play, and a closeup of all the great on mountain food.

It was after all, Saint Patty's Day in France. American music and indoor fireworks at an Irish pub made for a long night and a late next day.
