Took the two wild trams to around 12,000 feet on a ridge of Mount Blanc. Would be similar if there was a tram from Paradise to Camp Muir, and another to the top of Gibraltar Rock. Did not do the ski as there had been a couple of feet of new snow in the alpine after 3 weeks of drought. Could have been great or disastrous. During my previous 8 days of skiing, I had observed numerous large wet slabs that had gone to the ground. The two pictures show the tram building bridge that connects to the cave where you can ski from, and the arete walk itself. It's much talked about how scary the start of the hike is, but to me the descent looked very well equipped and quite safe. Definitely mountaineering exposure, however. If you put a rope and crampons on a nervous person like the guides did, I'm sure they'd be fine.

The side of the arete on skiers left looks a bit exposed. I didn't see any tracks there however there was some guy cramponing over somewhere down there. There was also slome kid rapping off the bridge with skis on.
