Ten people were lined up for gondola opening bell, nice country club day. Did a quick ferks for a groomer foot massage, then a doors to test conditions. The birds pulled ahead quickly but did text me that northway was the place to be. Multiple laps there on the demo star (super) 7 skis in boot top powder were delightful, and a few on SE facing slopes were shallower snow with some crunchiness underneath. The birds offered to show me far north but we never met up and I found a nice girl in a colorful outfit to sr sit me instead. By 1pm my knee said no more alpine bindings thank you so I changed to my schi devils tlt bindings and boots. Then Scotsman appeared from the parking lot and guided me deep north. Thanks everyone, including ma nature, for such a fine day. Oh, this evening was locals night at the snorting elk.
Sadly the sun came out briefly midday and made the snow heavier, but luckily by the end of the day it was snowing again. Hope the forecast march madness dump continues with low freezing levels! Forgot to mention that powder bowl opened after 1pm.
Called ddk from Northway chair around 920, but he was at home. Sad to miss the energizer hamster. No soup report as I never visited that side.
