Another big nice sunny day, smaller crowd – like almost nobody, still somewhat cool for me, never dropped all the way to full sunny Hawaii day (maybe I wasn’t working hard enough), very warm at times, some wind blowing up the lifts (REX anyway) made the slush fest maybe a little later today (or maybe cuase not many folks were skiing the front side), but REX chair line and the Gully were pretty soft and nice late morning till we left. Lots of early nice firm groomers, GV Bowl skier right skied nice firm packed, and the middle got enough sun during mid day to get nice soft. MiddleFerk and Lucky bumps easy soft mush. Many would say it was another Hamster day for me…can’t argue that, but the treadmill was pretty fun again.
Other – Soup was Triple C, had a taste of #1’s chili pretty good, the White Choc Macadamia cookie was very good. CB lodge pretty empty, most of Crystal is shutting down from what I can tell…only 4 more winter season weeks to go…lots of nasty sad rumors about “very” limited operations during the “spring” season….might be a bonus pushing me a lot further north. Seemed like the A lot was pretty much full, kinda spaced and didn’t notice C or B lots….but I bet they were not very full. PB definitely got skied yesterday and some folks were still going up today – but not many. Read the Whistler report from CD – I’m ready to go back and with maybe limited Crystal operations I’ll get a lot more up there I hope.
