Started the day in broken sun. Once yesterday's funky snow got cut up, it skied really well with Green Valley having some of the best snow I skied today. Lot's of people up today to head out Northway, but talked with a patroller early-on who told me conditions back there were similar to yesterday's off-piste. I skipped it, but would be interested in hearing from anyone who skied out there today.

I pretty much skied GV, GV-Iceberg, GV-Iceberg-Deerfly all day. Lost the sun mid-morning and had light snow flurries and off-and-on fog the majority of the day.

No lift lines. Saw a couple hamsters. Ants have quit for the season.

For what its worth a extra late report after chores - Another version of today….arrived very late around 8:30+ due to screwed up alarm clock, but based on early crowd that was not a problem. Jumped onto CHex with the D’s after the short line disappeared (and I changed out the Whistler winter conditions lens for the “hoped” for big sunny day at Crystal – not totally a great decision). Nice early “sucker” hole of sun was starting to fad pretty quickly and things were fuzzy at times – freezing fog on goggles at some point mid morning, vis issues in some areas, but good in others. Snow quality in the Valley was pretty great – except the section of West Face I did mid day. GV bowl pretty nice all day, and lower tree slots chair line fun, bumps and trees skier right of Grubstake skied fun. Did a run down one of the last Doors early – doable, but work and a couple of runs early down SunnySide – frist pretty okay, next run with more sun bake kept me from going back (Coombas might have been the ticket out there as the sun ray impact increased). Groomers I did were fun easy carving fast. Also heard some negatives about NW…from the master….also heard good things in places and not all of those places were expected.

Other – Soup of the day at CB lodge was last years Ched Broc (kinda like this years Calif Medly?). Some over used places were skied out to the ice layer below the new. Pay lot kinda small..rest of A lot full with over flow into C lot with a few rows in B. Had fun – always have fun! But wish I was still living the high life at Whistler! PS the AfterShocks (old BMW model currently) have had something like 120+ days over the last two seasons and they still rock for a go everywhere any time all over the place ski, they love the groomers and they sliced through the muck today till my quads blew up (needed a little IPB today after the last week). Did hear today was a lot more pleasant than yesterday for a total day, so maybe I still haven’t hit the worst of the worst…did I ever say I like my AfterShocks (almost more than my Coombas)? Supposed to be more snow tomorrow….
