Since this is pointed out I'm going to be a powder snob. Guess I never can comprehend the whole traverse across and ski Brand X like a sidewinder snake (lots of people do it all the time). I see it alot but don't get why one would not take it from the top on a fall line  ??? It's real easy to get across the top and make it work, just messes it up for others looking to do fall lines shy of Brand X Proper.

It is pure heaven in the right conditions to be first fall line (not sidewind) down Brand X and hit the left chute without missing a beat all the way to the bottom...purest art form IMHO.

Damn, missed SB and, yes, that's my line. . I traversed up high because I didn't have the speed to enter up above and wanted to avoid sliding the whole face with snowballs which is what was happening in the center.

A telemark track is pretty snakey- no apologies.

Excellent day with the locals!  Fine runs on West Face and Powder Bowl, a little tough for me to keep the hamster in view as lower Bear Pits got wet and heavy.  Enjoyed the classic chicken noodle soup, meeting Mrs Ferk, and watching kneel turner free heeling fine lines.  Also Joe on his brief visit to the inbounds.  At the end of the day in Greenwater I had a surprise reconnect with a fellow geezer I had met under Mt Cruiser 42 years ago after moving to the Pacific NW!!
