Conditions, weather, and crowds today were very similar to yesterday, except the late morning sun caused the snow to pack a little earlier, especially lower on the mountain. In fact, skiing out at the end of day day, there were several places where the snow was very sticky. The runs of the day were the three out Northway early, except the bottom half that got worse with each run. The untracked top half was excellent. But, even better were the runs in Campbell basin, chutes -.5, .5, and 2.5, and John's run down Powder Bowl. C6 is still running at the 70% chair preservation speed which really lulls you into a coma on the ride up. Almost as bad as a full speed ride up Northway. Lot's of runs with honorable-mentions in between. The worst snow on the mountain? Ungroomed Gandy's coming out of Bear Pits.

The forecast for tomorrow is calling for warm temps and rain top to bottom at Crystal. I'll pass on that.

And the middle opinion report for today, unless anyone else wants to jump in - Gotta say today was a pretty nice day – Fireman opinion? Arrived very late to a filling free part of A and a very very small pay lot. Might have been in C if the pay folks were still skiing. Quick change and jumped onto CHex just after it started loading, snowing nicely again this morning. Started with half a Valley and SunnySide, a lot better quality new today till the bottom half of SunnySide where the firm cut up left overs from yesterday started getting entertaining. Definitely a day to stay above around 6K on the mountain…that made HC pretty pleasant most of the day – except for the incredibly slow Ch6 ride ( in the good “old” days a 6 minute ride was nice, then things went to the 7 minute “painful” ride for many folks…today was a 8 minute ride – ouch, but the 2 minute run down either side of the chair were very nice in the nice vis sunny conditions). Vis was mostly nice, sometimes actually great, some sun, some snow fall most of the day, some grey every once in a while. Had some great runs down PB skier right side mostly, BP’s was nice on top but a little more challenging down low (as most of the mountain was). Spent most of the afternoon doing the Valley (skier right side) to Middle(IceBerg) Ferk’s, good combination of left over untracked deep snow pillows up top to very nice slalom hard carveing turns down low. Hamster day for me, not much variety, just a nice go were ever, when ever.

Other – CB lodge is starting to work me over hard on the soup – CHICK NOODLE again today! ( if I don’t get sick from the left overs all is good) Starting to really put an impact on my skiing schedule – missed another run cause of it today. Lots of sun breaks during the afternoon, very sticky snow conditions at the base (very nasty). Some over flow parking into C lot, one bus in A today. No lift line.

Conditions today are all academic, as at the end-of-the-day, T2B mank and tomorrow's rain will completely change the situation. Squeaked out a great day with untracked out North till the mank level rose; C-6 till the sun damage kicked in; and with Rex and C-6 running very slow till your sit-o-meter told you to ski the stickiest snow I've ever skied to the base. It was over. I must say, Crystal skiers rock, as I've never been to another area where people would ski out the off-piste like we did today.
