We drove to Pagosa Springs,CO for a  meeting with our NH son and 3 grand kids and their other grand parents.

February 25: The kids went to Mesa Verde National Park and I went to Wolf Creek Pass to enjoy the spring skiing conditions. There are 2 high speed quads and a couple doubles. Its kind of nice to cross the  Wolf Creek Pass at 10,550' and the lifts start at 10,300'. My senior ticket was $24 for the afternoon. The crowd was very small. No lift lines and I waited for someone to ride with. Lots of old guys and good skiers. The top is 11,900' and the base is 10,300'.  The resort has “The Most Snow in Colorado” and 430” per year. A couple of interesting items is there are trees to the top and a couple of bowls. There are back country access gates and a couple of avalanche closure gates.  The treed terrain is enormous.  After skiing, I went to the Pagosa Springs Resort. The springs are in the town of Pagosa and there are 12 pools that vary from 90 to 109 degrees. Plus it is on the San Juan River where you can swim in an area of cold water.

February 26: Today was Appreciation Day and seniors get a ticket for $22. Today was our last day and we skied with grand kids and their dad who skied in the trees and the moguls. Boys are 8,11 and 14.  The New Hampshire boys have no fear of moguls. The grand parents got worn out watching them.  The sun and spring conditions were wonderful. We had to leave to drive 5 plus hours to get to Breckenridge and cross Hoosier Pass at 11,541' before it started to snow. A small area with nice terrain and plenty of powder.
