Crystal 02/20 was created by CD
Crowds and weather were very similar to yesterday. The overnight snow was heavier and packed more once skied. Some of the upper front side runs seemed to be a little wind loaded, but all the doors, Lucky Shot Trees, Bear Pits, Green Valley, and frontside from the road down were really good again. Not really really good, just really good. C6 opened early afternoon, but never made it up. Crystal lost power again this afternoon, but all the generators kicked in this time.
I'll let DDK and CMSkier elaborate more...

Lordy 3:30 ski reports - Was it from the parking lot? My part of the report - Very nice day, lots of new snow – but heavier than Wednesday, lighter crowd today, almost no lift lines, good vis mostly, snowing hard at times during the day. Spent a lot of the day from SunnySide to BP’s (a couple of very nice untracked lines in the Pits right after it opened), lots of Door runs, more muscle (or technique) required by mid day, but it felt like it was getting colder in the afternoon and the new was skiing nicely as the day slowed down. Its getting really close to go anywhere at speed, still some tight old lines (mine anyway). Another fun day that was a little more casual than normal with #1 (she had a great day, so I did also).
Other – Soup(s) at CB lodge were Beef Vegy and Calif Med (#1 liked it). Parking in the A lot was kinda full (who, don’t know), fair number of buses, C pretty full, B maybe a little over half?
Other other – Based on conversation with lots of folks Crystal had a planned not sure exactly when power outage – they were on local power, but something was not just right, so everything stopped for about 10 minutes while lifts went to diesel and PSE worked their part of the contract. Life was slower after that, but it was at least running, unlike Monday

Chair 6 opened mid day and had a brief line for good reason . The snow was epic! Some wind loading but all the slots were skiable and the heavier snow of the weekend gave you something to float on without being bottomless . A good time was had by all. I have eschewed soup for the kids Mac and chees with meatballs. Must be 2K calories but good ski food if you are not afraid of cholesterol . Left angle was excellent top to bottom with some of the best glade coverage that I have seen in a few years.

Hope I've waited long enough to elaborate, didn't know there was a preferred posting time.
The snow is settling in, and the realization that the mountain is full of it (snow that is) and staying that way, relaxed the frenzy somewhat. A small crowd on the hill (the number of cars suggested a lot of people might be avoiding the constant snowfall and were in the lodge for brunch/lunch/snacks) and no lines lessened the need to race to a run. More thoughtful run selection helped in today's heavier snow. Heavier in the open, but quite nice in the trees (wind packed?). We were having so much fun on Bear Pits and Frontside-to-Grubstake runs I got tired of watching the light for Six and completely missed the opening till I was too tired. The grooming getting to and out of the off-piste was packing pretty hard. Off-piste, especially in the trees, turned into excellent packed pow as it skied out.

Sorry for making an editorial comment about time...but, there isnt no time line required, even you be "way" earlier than normal, usually takes a little longer for the fully edited version...got any soup comments?
Still was a very good day to be had by all, even those sometimes paying attention. More fun to be had tomorrow....ding ding...
